Excerpt shows image URL of first image

    Hello!

    I’m new to Content Views so maybe this is something very easy to fix. I’m using it to display all the hiking trips our company work with (one on each page). All pages have Featured Images but on some pages I prefer to show another photo as the first photo.

    On these pages, the Excerpt starts with showing the URL to that image. I’m using Avada as a theme.

    Any pointers? Thank you!

    Hello again! So I went ahead and bought the Pro-version since it ticked a lot of the things that I wanted to modify in my display.

    BUT – the URL of first image still shows up when I’m hiding the “Featured Image” from displaying to the visitors.

    Using AVADA as theme, they display the images using the following tag:

    <picture><source srcset=https://imagefile

    I tried to tell the plugin not to render the HTML-tag picture but no differens.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,
    Thank you for contacting us.

    By default, the generated excerpt will exclude the image in <img /> tag in the content.
    It looks like that Avada used shortcode to show image, so the image urls on your posts were not excluded.

    Under Display Settings >> Fields Settings >> Content,
    please select the checkbox Exclude content of these HTML tags,
    then enter this value on the text field picture.

    If it still doesn’t work, please select this checkbox Enable line breaks, translate, do shortcodes, apply filters in excerpt.
