Excerpts and menu on home page

  • Hi,
    Alongside the title, and excerpts that are visible on the posts on my home page, I would like for a photo appear as well. How do I do this? Also, my menu is currently located on the right corner of my site. You have to click on the square icon for the items listed on the menu to become visible. Is it possible for the menu to be placed horizontally? I would like all items on the menu to be easily seen. Below is the link to my site.
