Excerpts in Recent Posts

  • Hi Everyone,

    I am trying to find a plugin, or code etc to do following:

    Where it has recent posts in the sidebar, I want it to either show what category the recent post was posted in, or an excerpt from the post itself.

    I have been searching and searching but I just cant seem to find anything, so does anyone know of a widget or plugin that can do this, or point me in the right direction?
