Hi, we have the Popup Plugin on a Newspaper website and have received this message from our host:

Currently, there is excessive ajax usage recently which is currently affecting the servers CPU Usage and affecting other users on the Shared server environment.
    Hits to admin-ajax 9255 /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
We have identified the following areas in which admin-ajax.php is being used :
    [action] => sgpb_send_to_open_counter
We would strongly recommend looking into reducing the amount of admin-ajax.php calls made from these functions/plugins to prevent any issues in the future.

Based on some research – this ajax call is stemming from the Popup Builder that we have on the site. The site is running on WP Engine and these are un-cached calls that are killing the server. the popup runs for every site user so this may be dramatically affecting the usage on the server.

Any info on what we can do to resolve this would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    Dear @99rchris ,

    Thanks for getting in touch!
See, the AJAX call is used to help us to count how many times the popup was opened:
    https://prnt.sc/ve0wrg

We will make sure to implement a new feature that will allow the users to turn off that option in our upcoming updates.
We will reach out to you since the feature will be released!

Hi, @sygnoossupport Did you guys add the feature to turn off the ajax call?

    Dear @99rchris and @abdullacoder ,

    Hope you are fine.
Now, we have implemented the feature to turn off the AJAX call.
Please, just update the plugin to the latest 3.72 version, and after clearing the cache check again.
Let us know, in case you will have other questions.
