Excessively high db size due to this plugin

    Hello Developer.

    I love this plugin and it’s awesome other than 1 very large issue.

    It generates excessive database rows on table “wp_supsystic_ss_views”

    My overal site’s sql is 80MB, and this table alone accounts for 65MB of it.

    The crazy thing is, my site doesn’t even get that many views so all these timestamped hits are erroneous. i have over 1 million rows in this table, and I mostly do not have 1 million views yet on my site.

    I’m wondering if it’s even necessary to really timestamp every view that causes such large database file size.

    Is it safe for me to delete the rows on this table without affecting the functionality of the plugin? I’m not too concerned about the statistics.

    Hello!
    We will add “Clear data” button for Statistic tab in every project. Most likely you have old projects, which are still kept statistics – with new option you will be able to clean the data of this table.
    It will be done in next version of plugin. I will inform you about the updates.

    Dear Developers,

    I have the same issue, having a wp_supsystic_ss_views table over 210MO in size with almost 4 million entries.
    I need to purge this table regularly, and manually, because I don’t want to clean the share stats.

    You should really improve this, or at least enable clearing views only, or grant the possible to disable view stats.

    We will improve storage of statistics. Meanwhile you can simply disable statistics of social share buttons on Statistics tab – https://prntscr.com/bmynfo or write in Statistics only shares.

    Just upgraded to the latest version and I see all of the new buttons, but my “clear data” button doesn’t work. Just results in a blank white screen with a single “0” on it and the ss_views is still full in my database. I turned off the statistics for the future, but how can I clean these out of my database manually? Simple as emptying wp_supsystic_ss_views?
