Is there a way to change the watermarks in the photos without deleting and reloading the photos?
So far I have only found the possibility to write a new watermark, but the 2nd watermark is written over the existing one – looks very unattractive.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If you ‘save sources’ you can re-make the files and apply the new watermark.
See Table IX-H1 and 2, and look if the source is available on the Photo Albums -> Album Admin -> Edit -> Manage Photos – Edit photo information page.
    Every photo has info like:
    Available files: Source file: 869 x 768 (0.64Mp) 157.33 Kb. Display file: 869 x 768 214.61 Kb. Thumbnail file: 150 x 133

If the source file is available, you can remake the files on that screen, and then apply the new watermark on the same screen.

This is one of the reasons to always save the sources.

Hello Jacob, thanks very much for your very quick reply.
I have now saved the source file with some test images as you described. The source file is now also displayed as an additional file. However, I have 2 problems.

    1. change watermark via album admin. If I change the watermark (e.g. other position) and then press the button Add watermark and then press Files update, but nothing happens. The watermark that is set by default remains.

    2. The watermark is present in the miniature photos and the standard photos, but not in the high-resolution photo. This was different before. The watermark was on all photo sizes.

Note: I adopted the field name because I work with the German version.

Can you help me with this?

I am aware that not always the settings on the album admin overrule the defaults as set in Table IX-F. I will get into this issue. For the time being, make sure these settings apply to your wishes.

The source file (the high resolution file) will never be changed, not even when it must be rotated automatically when from a phone and the orientation is not 1.

It is impossible to remove a watermark from a photo file. ‘Removing the watermark’ is done by re-creating display and thumbnail file from the original source (hires) file.

So, either remove it afterwards (delete via ftp), use your old method – re-uploading, or create the watermark before uploading, on your pc by means of a photo manipulation program.

Thank you for the quick reply. Then I will get to work.

FYI. I just found the cause of the problem that the photos in the Lightbox had no watermark. I had activated the selection in table IV G6 (highest resolution). This apparently took the original file, which of course has no watermark.

    This may have confused you:

You can not remove a watermark on the album admin page when the default in Table IX-F3: The default watermarkfile to be used is not set to --- none ---.
This is to prevent users from removing a watermark if the admin persists in having one. they can only change it into something else in this case.
