Exclude a specific folder to avoid deleting Tim Thumb Images

I am using UserPro plugin from CodeCanyon.net
The plugin deleted all of the member’s Avatars and Logos because they are “Tim Thumb”.
How would I make the plugin….
1) Skip “Tim Thumb” images ?
2) Avoid scanning (EXCLUDE) a specific folder where the “Tim Thumb” images reside ?
