Does anyone know of a plugin or hack that will hide all previous wordpress posts?

I tried to achieve the effect by excluding all old categories from the index, but copying and pasting the code from the codex didn’t work.

Any help at all would be absolutely wonderful. Thanks for reading!

Well, y’know, a little more info would be good…. what do you ultimately want to accomplish? Is there some reason for not simply starting a new blog?

What do you want to show on your home page then?

Look here for plugins like Adhesive, Always on Top, or Static Front page for starters:

And also it would be good to know: what is considered “previous posts” and/or “old categories”.

Everything that has yet to be created would be considered old.

I do not want to start a new blog because I want to be able to link my old posts for explanations. Also, that is two years of posting to various blogs in the db for that blog. I don’t want to just throw all that away.

I want to have the index show everything written from here on out, because up until now I had been neglecting spelling and grammar.

All posts in the future are considered old? You mean everything that has already been created yeah?

You have a number of options.

    1. Create a new category, and edit your loop so that it only shows posts from that category on the index page.

    2. In the Admin, goto Options > Reading, and tell WP to only show the most recent 1 days, or 2 days or whatever.

I am not aware of excluding posts posted before a certain date through the loop, but I guess that anythings possible. Snoop around.
