• I have a category, let’s say it is called “Business Tips”. I want the category to show up on my blog’s home page when someone lands on it. I however, do not want posts that I will be writing and putting under the “Business Tips” category to be showing up on the main page. I want to have people be able to click on the “Business Tips” on the home page and then be able to see and read the posts that way. Please let me know how I can do this. I can only find information on how to exclude categories and have tried various plugins that hide the category too, but that is not what my goal is.

  • Assuming you are using the WP Menus, I think what you want is to put a Custom Link in your menu.

If your ‘Business Tips’ category id is 35, create a custom link with a URL like this: ‘https://yoursite.com/?cat=36’ and a Label of ‘Business Tips’. Add that to your menu and drag it to the position you want.

I am using a paid theme that does not allow menus. Is there any other option?

If you are using a paid theme your options are to get support from your theme vendor or look at hiring a developer to do the work for you at jobs.wordpress.net
