Hi, I’m trying to filter out a range of products which I don’t want to advertise on Google. I’ve selected if “Brand (Dynamic Attribute) contains “Hikvision” then Exclude.

Each time the scheduled feed imports into merchant centre, none of my rules are followed and all products are still being included on the feed.

Is it due to Brand as a dynamic attribute? I’ve also tried the value as case sensitive and still nothing, can’t filter them out.

Hi,

Thanks for this. I think I found the mistake. Filters and rules are case-sensitive. The brand in your feed is “Hikvision”, however in the exclude filter you are using “hikvision” (with a lower case H). Please make sure your filter also has “Hikvision” in it.

That should solve the issue at hand.

Hi, I’ve followed your advice and changed it to match capitalisation, but according to the feed preview, it still remains.

Your debug.log still shows a lower-case h in the filter.

Please make sure to clear all (object) caching you might be using (3th party caching plugins) before you manually reprocess your feed.

Hi, I’ve checked our cache plugin and the option for object cache isn’t enabled. I’ll get someone to check our server settings but it doesn’t look like that’s enabled.

Also, looks like that’s solved the problem. Chances are I’d not properly refreshed the feed earlier. Thanks for the assistance!
