Exclude by ID is too time consuming

  • I just want the plugin to change the old links to the new agoda links.

    I DO NOT want any of the keywords on my site to automatically convert to agoda links.
    Exclude by post/Page ID is not enough. I want to exclude the entire site from this function. I DO NOT want this function to run at all on my site.

    How can I convert the old agoda links to the new links, without using the automatic keyword converter?

    Hi Keith,

    I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with the Old-to-New Agoda Link Converter.

    Turning off the destination keyword conversion used to be possible by putting ‘0’ in the ‘Maximum links per page’ field (because old-to-new conversions would always work) but because of a different fix, this does not work anymore. We will add the functionality of turning it off in an upcoming revision. You will be notified about the update available.

    Why is there still no fix for this? This is a completely unacceptable level of support from Agoda.

    Hi Keith, Chris,

    We have added the ability to turn off the destination keyword conversions to the plugin yesterday. After updating the plugin to the latest version, you will be able to set 0 in the “Maximum links per page” field. After this, only the old-to-new link conversions will work.

    Our apologies for the fact that it took a while until we added this feature. We meant to include this together with a list of other improvements in a soon to be released update. We did understand this particular feature was urgent so we released it in a separate update yesterday.

    This was tested of course before releasing and also tested with success on our demo WordPress sites.

    FYI,

    I tried the plugin, and it produced this error on the front end.

    I am still using the old agoda links as result.

    I would like to change to the new agoda links since you said they convert better, but I cannot dedicate the time to produce new links to each hotel on my site (hundreds).

    Please update on how I can accomplish this.
