exclude categories in permalinks?

Dear WP-Experts,

i found out that it is possible to display only selected subcategories by typing a permalink like this (example):
www.mydomain.com/category/press/2014,2012,2008 etc.

Is there a similar way to exclude one or more categories (because I want to retrieve every subcategory from “press” except one)?
