Exclude category

Currently, I am really sorry to say that we don’t have the option to exclude a category. But as you are using the shortcode, then you can use the following shortcode to show the specific categories according to your preference in the category grid:

[betterdocs_category_grid post_counter=”true” icon=”true” masonry=”true” column=”3″ posts_per_grid=”5″ nested_subcategory=”true” terms=”term_ID, term_ID” terms_orderby=”betterdocs_order” terms_order=”ASC” ]

Here, for the order, if you want to set it in ascending order, then you will have to use ASC and for the descending order, please use DESC.

Terms?are actually the categories of the BetterDocs.

To find your?term_ID, simply go to?WP Admin Dashboard > BetterDocs > Categories. Hover your mouse over one of the categories. You will find the URL below. On the browser, the link looks for the?tag_ID=X. That’s your category ID. Simply then use this ID as I have mentioned before in the shortcode. Here’s the screenshot:?https://d.pr/i/0nlGCC

However, I will definitely discuss this with our team to add a category exclude feature and we will definitely try to implement it in our plugin in future updates.

I hope this message finds you well. Though, I have discussed with our DEV team adding an option to exclude the categories from the category grid. I hope that this will be implemented in our plugin in future updates. I will let you know the update when it gets implemented.

In the meantime, I wanted to follow up with you regarding your experience with the previous solution that I provided you to show the specific categories according to your preference that you want to show on the category grid. Did that resolve your issue to show the specific categories or do you have any further questions or concerns that I can assist you with?
