Exclude comments on private posts

    Hi – I love this plugin as it is much more efficient than the WordPress core “Recent Post” plugin on sites with a large number of posts/comments.

    I have a tiny problem though. I have a site with people commenting on private posts. These comments show up in the Decent Comments list to everyone. I’m wondering if there’s a way to exclude comments made on private posts?

    [edit] Correction – I noticed in my case the comments are on a private *page*, not a private post – so this might be more of an outlier case.

    My problem is solved in this case as I can specify comments just on post type “post” and ignore post type “page”.

    Thanks for pointing this out, fixed in the latest release published today.

    The potential drawback to the solution we’ve used is that any comments on private posts won’t be included at all, but that’s certainly better than having those on private posts shown to those who shouldn’t see them.
