Exclude Custom Taxonomy Terms

    Hello,

    I want to exclude certain taxonomy terms but include all the others. I have the box checked for my taxonomy for it to be included and saw the exclude box but I was unsure how to enter this type of information there.

    Also if I wanted to exclude posts from a custom post type would I do this by ID as well?
