Exclude folder

I’m trying to exclude a folder that got uploaded to the site until I can have it removed from the server.
I’ve tried the following, none seem to work.
/var/www/mysite.org/wp-content/themes/jumbo/__MACOSX
/wp-content/themes/jumbo/__MACOSX
/__MACOSX
Any ideas?
