exclude image of page at google search

  • If you activated AOSP’s extension for sitemap, there should be an option to exclude media from being in the sitemap, otherways they will show up even with mark noindex or nofollow, because you didnt chose to be not shown in the map. PS: You should do that because you will recieve errors in google search

    1. Media needs to be excluded from the sitemap
    2. “Exclude Images” needs to be enabled
    3. Media needs to be set to noindex
    4. Attachment pages need to redirect to their parent page

    Those steps will help, but keep in mind that changes happen over time and your images won’t instantly disappear from the search results.
