Exclude Lastest Post From Category

I’ll explain what I’m trying to do to make it clearer.

I’m setting up a blog which will have only one category. On the sidebar, I want to have the newest 3 posts from that category. THAT I know how to do. What I WANT to do is exclude the latest post from the 3 on the sidebar since it will be on the main page.

In other words, if you were looking at the page, you’d have the latest post on the main part and the previous 3 excerpts on the sidebar. Hope I explained that ok.
