Exclude my own page hits?

You can configure Jetpack Stats by clicking on “Configure” under the Stats module in the Jetpack menu.

I don’t see where to do that, unless you’re talking about this:

Registered users Count the page views of registered users who are logged in.

Does ‘Registered Users” mean any WP user or only those listed in your own User roles?

Registered Users are the Users listed under Users > All Users in your dashboard, and currently logged in.

OK. I thought it meant any WP user as opposed to the general web public, so I had it checked. Since I’m the only User, I’ve now unchecked it.

Maybe a slight change in wording is in order?

Indeed, I agree with you. I visit my page frequently when I’m not logged in. So there’s no way to block an IP address altogether, Jeremy?

I’m afraid not. Jetpack Stats do not offer this option.

To get rid of the page count for your own site visits, un-check the Jetpack/Stats box that says,

“Count the page views of registered users who are logged in.”

It is not the perfect solution, but it depends on whether or not your site visitors normally log in or not. If they don’t, as in my case, I get more accurate numbers.

If your visitors normally log in, then leave that box checked, and only un-check it when you are adding articles or doing other page hit intensive site maintenance.

Also, if you are using Google Analytics, you’ll want to put your IP address there and your visits to your own site will not be tracked. Hopefully, Jetpack Stats will mature in the future so you can block your own IP address, but that is not possible now.
