exclude password protected posts outside (!) the loop

  • Hi community,
    I am working on a WP-installation that uses a query to show in the footer only the 4 newest posts of specific categories. Here a part of the code: 

    'cat' => array	
		(1,2,7,8,9),
'posts_per_page' => '4',

    Is there any possibility to show only posts which are NOT protected by a password ? I could not find any information about that possibility, if it is outside of the main loop.
