    Dear Community,

I have a question regarding the exclusion of postcodes in shipping zones. I know that it is possible to have either ranges or wildcards, but with these rules, i was still not able to exclude some postcodes by only allowing the “correct postcodes”.

    As an example:
There are Postcodes starting with AB1 XXX till AB24 XXX (X are represented by numbers and letters)

I would like to exclude the Postcodes starting with AB19 XXX and AB20 XXX.

However, if i say AB1…AB18 and AB21…AB24, I would exclude postcodes which are AB1 9HD although I would also like to send my products to these postcodes.
If I say AB1* AB2* etc. – i would also allows AB19 XXX and also allow AB20 XXX.

Thus my question, how would I be able to exclude postcodes starting with AB19 XXX and AB20 XXX?

Maybe I am overseeing something but would be grateful for any answer!

    Best, schorliee

  • Hello,

Ranges work properly with numerical post codes only. You’d need to put wildcards individually like:

    AB19*
    AB20*

Adding to this, if you want to target, for example AB1 XXX but not AB11 XXX then you can use a space before the *

    So AB1* would trigger for AB1, AB10, AB11 etc

But AB1 * would only trigger for AB1 and not AB10, AB11 etc

@seank123 – thanks for the additional info.
