exclude posts or categories?

Hello,
How don’t understand how can I exclude Posts (I think it would be interesting also to exclude categories).
It is said “Write here (separate by commas) the pages or posts to exclude (Example: 1,10,25,77 …).”
Where are these numbers? I don’t see them.
