Exclude senators from results

I’ll have to consult with the coder about if this is even possible. The results you see on the page are generated from the Sunlight Labs API and are not part of our plugin. I’ll have him look into this.

Just to clear… do you want to exclude ALL senators? Or just particular ones?

In this instance it would be all senators. However it would be great if there were options to choose what should be displayed, for example by checkboxes.

BTW, you have excellent timing! We are just working on updating CongressLookup to use the new Sunlight Labs API and we haven’t yet started the actual coding ?? Perfect time to consider this function!

The updated version of CongressLookup is out and there is now a dropdown menu in the admin that will allow you to choose only Representatitves, only Senators, or both.

As a suggestion for a future update it would be great to be able to change the output via the shortcode on a per page/post basis. For example

[CongressLookup show=reps]

[CongressLookup show=sens]

This would be useful for example if you have multiple campaigns on different pages and need supporters to contact different types of legislator.
