Exclude shopping cart from cache

I currently have super cache turned off or the shopping cart (see the sidebar) does not work correctly.

Will the implementation as described in the above post solve the issue and allow me to use the cache plugin on the site? You might notice that the site uses JigoShop not WooCommerce but we are in the process of converting to WooCommerce.
