Exclude some menu items from mobile version?

  • Would like to exclude certain elements of a menu when viewed from a mobile device – essentially some menu items have submenus that are too numerous for mobile use and I’d like to keep them for desktop but exclude them from the mobile menu. Is there a simple way to do this by tagging them or something similar?

    Hi,

    you probably could do this by adding a class name to a menu item and then hiding it for mobile using jQuery to target menu items with specific classes but that would require a fair amount of customization.

    If you’re up for it, the “CSS Classes” input doesn’t display by default on the menu item properties but you can set it to display by clicking “Screen Options” at the top right of the page and then checking “CSS Classes” under “Show advanced menu properties”.
