    Good day!

We’ve had to send out a follow up email to our customers because of an issue with our supplier and the ordered items. We’re sending the customers replacements for a specific item on their order. The problem we’re facing is that when we change the order status to a custom order status we created, the old tracking info for the completed order gets attached to the order summary again. Is there a way to turn it off from the email placeholders available from the email composition screen -> {{ order.details }}?

We’ve tried just using the items placeholder and other placeholders and the only time the tracking info is included is if we use that specific order detail placeholder.

Thanks and hoping you can shed some light on this.

    Hi @grymwulf,
To remove the tracking info from the custom order status email template just remove that order status from the Order Emails Display option from the Customer View panel.
Navigate to WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > Settings and open the Customer View panel and remove the custom order status from it.
    Thanks

    Hi @zorem,

Thanks for getting back to me about this. This was one of the first things we checked, but the custom order status we created is not on the “Additional Order Emails Display” field on the customer view tab. The only ones we have there are completed, partially shipped, and updated tracking.

We’re not updating tracking orders, we’re just resending order details of completed orders, but the old tracking info is getting attached to the order details and it is causing confusion.

Right now, since we need to send out a lot of these email notifications, we’ve had to rebuild the email template without using the {{order details}} placeholder just to avoid confusion.

If you can point me to the function that hooks into the the email templates, I’d have a go at modifying that instead.

    Thanks!

Do you use any email customizer plugins?

    hi @zorem,

Sorry for replying late. Putting out fires. ??

We use ShopMagic for the emails, if that helps.

Try deactivating all other plugins except AST and WooCommerce and check again.
