So I have tried everything. I have disabled anti-virus programs, the firewall, tried different browsers, restarted the computer while holding shift in, shifting user on the computer. And the issue is not with the internet provider, because I can log into my website on my smartphone. But the problem remains..

The issue is that I cannot access my own website from my personal computer. And I have no idea why. My IP must be excluded from the website somehow. But I don’t know how.

I can access both the login-url and the website, when I am using a proxy-website. But I cannot do it through my personal computer when pasting the URL in the top field.

Can anybody tell me why and how to solve this problem?

What security plugin(s) are you using?

Hi. I am using one called 2FAS Light. That is the only one as far as I know.

I also ave one for anti-spam called: Akismet Anti-Spam.

What security is being used on the actual server? Modsec is a “usual suspect” for blocking IPs for instance.

Hmm how can I look that up? I have Mac but I am not sure where to look for security on the computer.

Try disabling that plugin… delete it from wp-content/plugins using FTP or the file manager app of your hosting control panel.

I’d suggest asking your host to look into it (it’s not your computer it’s server based).

Steven, I did disable that plugin. But it did not work. Any other ideas?

Diabolo, what is Modsec? I don’t think I have that one.

I have talked to the Hosting. But they say the issue is not at their end.

It is fixed now. It was somehting with the DNS server at the hosting. Thanks
