Excluded pages appearing in Main Menu

  • I have been adding a lot of pages to my site but I only want the ultimate parent to appear in the main menu (it is an archive of an old newspaper called the Irish Democrat). So I want just Irish Democrat to appear in main menu, and the in the sub-menu the paper organised by decades. Following that, in each decade there will be 12 issues of the paper (each as a pdf on a separate page). The problem I have is that even though each issue page is “excluded” from menus, 1 issue always appears right up the top at the main menu. even if i remove that issue it is replaced with another one. I dont want any individual issue to appear in the main menu.
