Execution Time

    Hi,

    I’m using 1.4.30 of the UpdraftPlus plugin, and when I’ve activated it, I’m getting this message:

    Your PHP max_execution_time is less than 60 seconds. This possibly means you’re running in safe_mode. Either disable safe_mode or modify your php.ini to set max_execution_time to a higher number. If you do not, then longer will be needed to complete a backup. Present limit is: 30 seconds.

    I don’t have the permissions of my hosting provider to change this. Will it still backup my website? Or will it stop after 30 seconds and fail?
    (Sorry for this simple question, but I’m not a pro with PHP.)

    For me it’s only important that he backups my website. It isn’t very important if it takes a little bit longer.

    Hi Boris,

    As the message says, “If you do not, then longer will be needed to complete a backup”. That is the only side-effect.

    And thanks for the confirmation that I can safely backup! That it will take any longer isn’t much an issue.
