    Hi,

    I got this message from the analytics settings:

    Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-135882900-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.

    When I look at the source code I can see my ID, but I can’t see the ID mentioned above.

    Also my conversions tracking stop working, I received four orders today and they are not showing in the analytics.

    How can I remove this ID? And why is it showing? since I didn’t add it.

    Thank you,

    Valmy.

  • @valmy02 thanks for reporting. I also cannot see the tag ID mentioned by the message in your source code. Could you:

    1) Share your Site Health Information through this form so we can check if there are potential sources for the tag mentioned?

    2) Is this the first time you have connected Analytics with Site Kit? If not, was it working without the error before?

    Hi Renee,

    I filled the form you sent.
    I was using for a week or two and it was working nice.

    Thanks for the fast response.

    Regards,

    Valmy.

    @valmy02 many thanks for the info!

    So I’m actually now seeing the code that Site Kit is detecting in the site’s source code: https://jmp.sh/0OwVYoo

    I noticed you were using the WooCommerce Analytics Integration plugin. Could it be from that plugin?

    Please also note that Ecommerce tracking is currently not available using Site Kit’s snippet, but it is on our roadmap.

    If you need that tracking, you can choose to use another method to insert the appropriate snippet and remove Site Kit’s snippet by toggling off Let Site Kit place code on your site and configuring Account, Property, View in the settings (screenshot). The data dashboards will still be populated in Site Kit.

    Feel free to let us know what you find with the other plugin.

    @reneesoffice ,

    Yes, I’m using it. I’m glad theses features are on the roadmap and I’ll be happy to deactivate the WooCommerce Analytics Integration plugin and only use Google Site Kit.

    I’ve checked this two days ago and it had the right ID, but I followed your recomendations and you are correct, this ID shows in the WooCommerce Analytics Integration plugin, I’m not sure why it changed – the only change I made was to install the WP-Rocket plugin.

    I inserted the correct ID now and I’ll let you know if it worked.

    Do you have an estimate date for these new features you mentioned?

    Thank you for the help.

    @valmy02 glad you were able to find the source!

    I don’t have an ETA on when they will be available since we are actively working on the initial implementation. Feel free to follow the issue linked and Site Kit’s repository/ changelog (also found here) for up-to-date information on enhancements included in the releases.

    @reneesoffice,

    Great, this feature will eliminate the need of one plugin, wich is great for me. I hope you people can do this soon ??

    After I inserted the correct ID in the other plugin the error message disappeared, but now there is this message in the analytics settings:

    Print

    Is this a problem? The plugin is working (I can view the stats)

    Thanks,

    Valmy.

    @valmy02 thanks so much for the follow up and I’ll pass your feedback to the team! Yes, that message is normal. Site Kit is just letting you know that it sees another snippet (not its own) on the site.

    Great to hear it is working well now. I will mark your topic as resolved, but please feel free to reach out anytime. Also, if you have a chance, share your experience with the plugin in a review.

    @reneesoffice

    I’ve just found what was causing the issue with my conversions tracking, it was a conflict with WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration and Google Site Kit. Since the info about the conversions are more important to me, I’ve disabled Site Kit for now.

    See this other topic where I found it

    Thanks,

    Valmy.

    @valmy02 thanks for reporting! We’ll look into this further.

    A few details to confirm that would be helpful:

    1) Was Site Kit’s Analytics snippet removed/ toggled off when you noticed the issue with tracking conversions?

    2) Do you have any Analytics or E-commerce configurations using Google Tag Manager?

    Thread Starter Valmy

    (@valmy02)

    @reneesoffice

    1) No, it was On

    2) Yes, I have some config in GTM (it’s not many)

    When this error occured, I was using the plugin WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration to place the ID and Site Kit to place the Tag from GTM.

    Thanks for the reply.

    @valmy02 thanks so much for the details!

    Did you notice conversions affected when Site Kit’s Analytics snippet is removed/toggled off as mentioned here?

    Since Site Kit’s Analytics snippet doesn’t do Ecommerce tracking just yet it may be affecting tracking of the other snippet. In general, only one snippet should be used on the site.

    With that said, we’ll test this further for improvements we can make. Thanks again!

    @reneesoffice,

    I will install Site Kit again and test to see if the option you mentioned above will have an impact about this.

    I’ll let you know when I’m done.

    Thank you for the help,

    Valmy.
