existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-764
-
Can not figure this out. We are the new owners of this site so I got a new google adwords account, and a google anyalics account. Then when I try to connect the both on my account This comes up.
Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-76473239-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.I need to get rid of this and activate my google ads ASAP

Hi @marinapry,
This error indicates that is already a Google Analytics tag associated with this website – I’m guessing from the previous owners. In order to associate the site with the new accounts that you’ve created, you’ll have to first remove the old account information from the site.
In order to help you do that, can you please share your Site Health information as a new reply on this post? You can also share it privately via this form.
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing, @marinapry!
It looks like your site is using the X theme, which does allow users to enter Google Analytics tracking code. Can you please take a look at this guide and see if the Google Analytics extension is enabled, and if the GA code is entered there? If so, go ahead and remove it and then you should be able to connect your new Analytics account via Site Kit.
