Since 2009, our site has been using the YourMembers plugin to manage subscribers. Last month, we upgraded the site, moved it to a new server, and replaced Your Members with s2member.

We aren’t using ClickBank for new subscribers currently, but are using integrated PayPal Pro. The new PayPal subscribes are working fine. Our memberships automatically renew every three months. The billing is working fine on ClickBank’s side, but the member’s information isn’t being updated in s2member. We have to watch out for these and manually update their renewal dates so their access will continue.

I have enabled ClickBank as a payment method, eventhough we aren’t making the buttons public. We have also set each of these user’s Gateway as “clickbank” and entered in their ClickBank receipt ID.

Before I spend too much time investigating this, I want to find out:
    1) Is this is something that should work or if it will only work for users who subscribed through s2member?
    2) Is there any documentation for how to set this up to recognize existing members?

    Thanks,
    Ricky

It will work only if the users subscribed through s2Member, because the two plugins send and receive information in different ways. You could get a developer to build some sort of bridge, of course, but I don’t know whether that’s a viable option for you.

@kts915 – Thanks! That’s what I was afraid of. I’m a developer, so I can write this (if I can find the time). I was just hoping to find an easier solution.
