Existing MailChimp Forms

    I’m still new to WP. Just created a form with MC for WP plugin. I’m setting all this up on a staging site (clone), so I imagine I can only do so much, given my live site is well, live.

    Question 2: If I continue to do a double opt in, can I use the existing forms I created in Mailchimp or do I need to create the forms in the plugin?

    Question 1: If I’m going to a single-opt in, are there any additional forms I will need create in the plugin or in MC? In other words, someone signs up and that’s it.

    Hi,

    You can switch the form between single and double opt-in at any time, under Mailchimp for WP > Form > Settings. You do not need to create a new form for that.

    Our plugin works independent from the Mailchimp embedded forms and can’t import the forms you created already in Mailchimp. We suggest to use our form builder to make your forms.

    Hi Lap,

    Let me run this by you, just to be clear.

    The plugin is active, single-opt in selected.
    I also made a form with the plugin to appear on my website. Now people can quickly subscribe.

    However, my campaigns (new content to subscribers) are set up with MailChimp (not the Plugin). That’s okay, right? The Plugin has the API so communication is there. I should be good to go, yes?

    Yes that’s ok. Actually you can’t even create campaigns in our plugin.
    The plugin is just for signing people up to your Mailchimp lists, from there you handle everything else in Mailchimp itself.
