I was thinking about getting the pro version of the plugin, but I think I am not getting the point of Exit Intent popup.

If we ask the potential customer for his/her email, it will be recorded (if provided) and then we can assign the promo code to this email, that will be applied when provided email will be used during the checkout? Is it a proper understanding of this feature?

If so, is there a possibility to save e-mail provided by the potential customer and then apply same mailing rules as for e-mails provided during the checkout abandonment?

    Hi @unster
    Thank you for reaching out.
CartBounty has two levels of coupons:

    a) Instant coupons: These can be enabled in CartBounty tools like Exit Intent and Early capture in case the customer provides his contact information (email or phone number) and will be automatically applied (once coupon validation is done and user reloads the page or reaches the checkout).

    b) Coupons sent in reminder email: These ones can be enabled in Recovery section and they can be added to the reminder email if enabled.

So they work separately and you can provide an instant coupon code and then later in the reminder email send a different coupon code.
I hope I was able to understand your question and answer it ??

    Best,

You say “they can be added to the reminder email if enabled”. If I enable reminder emails (I shouldn’t do it according to my local law [send emails to everybody who fill-in email details in checkout]), those exit intent emails I gather will be added to reminders automatically?

Abandoned shopping cart data is considered transactional data and therefore does not require specific user consent, similar to practices by MailChimp or Shopify. All contact emails collected either at checkout or through exit intent will be added to the abandoned cart reminder queue.
