Exit Modal isn't saving sitewide cookie

I bought exit modal add on for easy modal. It was working fine till I updated to wordpress 4 (I guess).
The problem is that It popups everytime a user shows exit intent even though I’ve set the settings such that It should open after 1 day once it has already opened.Can you please check if this really is a bug? Please help me resolve it as it turning out to be a nightmare for my users. Very bad UX!
