    Is it possible to expand/collapse content of a widget or even a whole widget area?

    Technically, yes, but you would need to be comfortable editing your child-theme template and widget filters. This is an advanced use, and goes beyond the support of the plugin. If you have a developer, they should be able to implement this using the roll-your-own method or do_shortcode, depending on how your theme is built.

    If you do not have a developer, or would like us to assist you implement this, you might consider upgrading to collapse-pro-matic, as it comes with a very high level of personal support that alone is often worth the price of the upgrade.
