Hello! I recently updated my WP to 6.5. Once I did, the ‘Expand on Click’ option for single images disappeared.

Has this been moved? I’m running a child theme of Twenty Twenty Four on a self-hosted version of WP 6.5. Gallery images open up in a lightbox, single images do not.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @sabahat – I’m seeing that as working now in WP 6.5.2 – is it working again for you?

If not, this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.

There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

Hi @jordesign,

I’ve just done that. It turns out this is a conflict with Jetpack. I have a local version of my site on which I replicated my entire website. When I activated the Portfolio custom post type on Jetpack, the ‘Expand on click’ option disappeared. The only way I could get it back was by deactivating Jetpack, which is a shame, as I was using several of their features.

I’ll use a different plugin for my portfolio, I guess. Thanks for looking into this!

My recommendation would be to let the Jetpack folks know, so they can investigate this further and fix any possible conflict. I believe that Jetpack has a feature to do something like that as well, so I believe it might be related.

You should be able to contact them here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack/

Thank you! I did just that. Appreciate your response, though.
