    Hi @mikeyott,

As you probably know, iThemes added a new feature to its plugin (iThemes Security Dashboard). One of the features of the dashboard is to list the number of 404s (hits) for the website in question.

Is their any way you can add a feature to your plugin to clear the 404s from the website’s database too? Perhaps you can look at all other security readings that are being logged and assist with clearing them as well.

Per iThemes, the 404 history is displayed for the last 30 days, but have learned you cannot delete them using your plugin (nor theirs, as expected). Repeated requests to iThemes has fallen to deaf ears.

    Again, great plugin. Thank you.

PS: Above feature (dashboard) only available for iThemes Security Pro users; however, 404 logs apply to both the free and pro versions.

    Cheers!

    Howdy,

404s are stored in the _itsec_logs table and get deleted when you select the ‘Security logs’ checkbox. That said, I do not have the pro version, but it’s still highly unlikely they would place the 404s in a different table.

But, then again, maybe they did specifically for this feature (although there is no need to because they can still segregate the 404 entries from the others with a simple modification to the SQL statement).

Anyhoo, I won’t know for sure until I get my paws on the pro version (which coincidentally I was thinking about a couple of days ago). Stay tuned.
