Maybe I’m blind, but I don’t find anywhere on Seriocomic’s site where he tells how that is made. It interests me as well, can anybody explain how it’s done? Available plugin?

Well CSS is CSS. We all look at each others all the time. No need to copy and paste but by reading it you will learn how it works. Personally I publish everything in the expectation that if somebody wanted it they would help themselves. I do not to speak for anybody else. But when someone says *it did not explain how it works* the answer is right there in front of them.

I don’t see the answer right in front of me. Well, I’m a newbie in this, and maybe I’m blind. I look at it this way:
Studying the source html code of Seriocomic, it is obvious that he uses an onclick="showHide" script. So I don’t see what I will learn from studying his CSS.
What I am interested in is how to include this neatly into my WP weblog, so my posts become expandable/collapseable.
I did send an e-mail to the webmaster at Seriocomic. Hopefully he will be able to help.
Or somebody else?

The *read it here* is the standard WP more js quicktag. Its been hacked a bit you understand. But that is what it is. No magic required.

Well, for me that would require a bit of magic. I couldn’t do that kind of hacks myself. Therefore I was asking for help, because I like that way of presenting posts – that the content of a post will expand itself onto the same page once you click a “button” like ‘Read it Here’. So basicly, if someone could give me a hint as to how to implement such a hack, I would be grateful.

I have simply modified the text used in the link that switches. I have also included a hack that counts the number of words and images. Doing a search on these forums should point you in the right direction otherwise I can supply you with the code.

Seriocomic ‘s collapsible menu is quite wonderful, to “remember” a user’s preference you can try combining it with the javascript on roasthorse’s tutorial that sets a cookie for each menu state.
I’ve posted some codes in Chinese WordPress but the implemetation on that particular site doesn’t work so well yet. For a full-featured effect check out the menu section of this other project we’ve been working on. All these quoted site are in Chinese, if you need any clarification just leave me a note. ??
