expanding searchbox push the nave bar

Hi.
I have moved the navbar so that its next to the search form. I have two problems. The color of the site doesn’t change acording to the child theme… and if possible I would like the search box to oscillate the navbar when it opens…https://www.gransar.net/newnavbar.png
