    Hello,

thank you very much for this amazing plugin.

I used it on some websites and it was working without any problem.

Now after clicking the PayPal button in the checkout it gives the error message “Expected a billing token to be passed to createBillingAgreement”.

I’ve tried to disable all other plugins but Payment Plugins For PayPal WooCommerce. I switched to the default WordPress theme TwentyTwenty. I’ve tried to change some settings. But the error message still appears.

Do you hav3 any experience with that message?
Has it maybe something to do with the PayPal account?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards

    Jose

    Hello,

for your information, I’ve also tested a different PayPal account that works without problems on a different website, and I have the same problem.
But I have to say that the second PayPal account that I tested had the wrong Webhook URL because I didn’t change it in the PayPal account settings.

    Best regards

    Hi @giuse

thank you very much for this amazing plugin.

We’re glad you’re liking the plugin!

I’ve also tested a different PayPal account that works without problems on a different website, and I have the same problem.

Were you testing with our plugin and you didn’t encounter the issue on the other website? Were the products similar that you tested?

For the website that is showing that error, can you share a link so we can test? Is this a subscription product with a free trail?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @mrclayton

Unfortunately, I can’t share the link. Moreover, the checkout is working now, but because I have solved the issue by enabling PayPal that is provided (but is now hidden) by the core of WooCommerce. And I have temporarily deactivated your plugin. This also confirms it’s not a problem caused by the PayPal account.

Sorry, I forgot to give you some important information. Yes, it’s a subscription product, but not a free trial.
The subscriptions are managed by WooCommerce Subscriptions.

For me, it would be better to use your plugin because I don’t know how long PayPal provided by the core of WooCommerce will work with subscriptions.
But really no rush from my side because now all is working right.
Just that you know that with a subscription product you may have the mentioned issue.
Maybe better you test it with WooCommerce Subscriptions if not done yet.

If you need more information that I would be able to provide without sharing the link I will be happy to do it.

    Best regards

    Hi @giuse

Maybe better you test it with WooCommerce Subscriptions if not done yet.

We’ve tested extensively with WooCommerce Subscriptions so that’s why getting some specific info from you will be very helpful.

If you need more information that I would be able to provide without sharing the link I will be happy to do it.

Can you reach out to use via the Help button located in the PayPal Settings or contact us via our Contact Us page? https://paymentplugins.com/contact-us/

We can discuss how your product is setup via a support ticket.

    Hi @giuse

Any chance you could reach out and share that information? It will be very helpful to test your exact scenario when trying to re-create what this issue was.

    Hi @mrclayton

sorry for writing back to you a little late.

Unfortunately, I can’t give you access to the website. This is not my website and the owner doesn’t want to give access to the backend. During this period I do have not enough time for trying to understand which settings are causing this issue.
As soon as I have more time I will try with a subscription on a website where I have no issues, and I will try to investigate deeper. This is also my interest because soon or later I would like to install again your plugin.
I will surely let you know if I find out something, but I can’t say now when I can do it.

In any case. thank you very much for your great support. Your approach makes me understand why the quality of your plugins is so good.

    Have a great day!

    Jose
