Experiences with Divi Builder + Divi Theme

It depends on the complexity of the page. Not much I can do on my end, since the HTML will or will not pass through DeepL API.

I just tried it out but get the message “The translation has failed”. In the logo it shows me:

What could be the cause?

I’m also testing it with Divi and got a few issues.

Note: I must say first of all that I think this plugin is based on a brilliant idea and I want to thank publicly @malaiac for his hard work creating it.

I share my experience so far just in case this can help others.

This is my original Spanish page (I chose a very simple one for this test):

I cloned it, set its language to English (I have WPML installed), then Translated it using this plugin and this is the result:

The issues I got are:

The H1 is now preceeded by the sign “]”
This same issue happened in the text block below the blue are.
(I noticed this in another of my tests on a different website that also uses Divi)

That’s an issue that I could live with because I can later on run a Search & Replace process in the DB.

But the issue that concerns me the most (and for which I have no solution so far) is this one:
the final translation is missing entire paragraphs of text (see above and below my call to action button).

Any ideea why this happenned and how to fix it and prevent from happening in the future?

If you can send me the post_title and the raw post_content to my mail (my handle at gmail com ), I can test it.
However, it might not be a problem I can solve, as DeepL is working hard to make their translation engine work with the HTML soup sometimes produced by visual editors
The premium version of the plugin does not add anything to this behaviour as it generally is a limitation of the DeepL API
