Expiration not functional

Hello I have many posts on my wordpress site and I set quite a few to expire after the event is over. I set expire when a making the post yet after publishing the post, they don’t expire. I check the settings and they just say never, even though I didn’t choose that. It seemed like it worked at one time before, just not now.
I use the Magazine-Premium Theme.

Any ideas?
