$expire

Hi,
I suppose that there is an inconsistency between memcached wp_cache_set() API and the core one.

From the codex you can find the following description about $expire: “Defines how many seconds to keep the cache for” (see)

but the wp_cache_set() from memcached, is expecting a timestamp from the beginning of the epoch.

Am I correct?

What happens when memcached is not present and wp_cache_set() defaults to the core function?
