expire blocked IP addresses

I’m looking for alternative mode for the login protection. Would be nice to have such recidiv mode, when blocked IP will be enabled back after some period of time. in the case if it’s gonna be caught again it’s gonna be blocked for much long period of time. Do you know what I mean ?
