After reading previous support tickets, I understand that after a full-day event has been started, it will now show in the event list, which is awesome. However in my use, I have a different context.

I have exhibitions which lasts several weeks. I want to display only the upcoming events, which does not include the ongoing one. In this context, the expire function does not work. Is it possible to have a work-around or as a future function?

    Thanks in advance!

Hmm… it should include if you disable Current events – Expire current events option in General settings.

Can you show some screenshots – general settings (query part especially) and example of single Event date settings?

    Herewith the screenshots.
    1) The expire current event has been checked and saved. By the way, the show past event option seems not to be working also. Therefore I also add it in the shortcode.
    2) There are two events which has not been started yet, and one is ongoing now.
    3) In this shortcode for a page, I would like to display only the upcoming events which has not started yet.
    4) The page screenshot shows both of them are displayed.
