  • Did you click the box to see what content did not have the expires headers. It is quite common for other items such as Facebook widgets, 3rd party images, and fonts to not have the expires headers set so you would still fail the test.

    Under the General, No, but in the CSS/JS section, Yes. So I turned it on in the General section and then saw the following message at the top of the screen…

    “Either the PHP configuration, web server configuration or a script in the WordPress installation has zlib.output_compression enabled.
    Please locate and disable this setting to ensure proper HTTP compression behavior.”

    In the sections of ‘general’, ‘css/js’, ‘html.xml’ and ‘media+’ sections all have the box UNchecked for “Enable HTTP (gzip) compression” as I have turned it on in the php.ini file.
