Expired events don’t display in Event Calendar

On an elementor page, I’m using the “Event Calendar” element. It works great, except that for some reason any time an event is expired, it’s removed from the actual calendar view completely.

How do I make expired events remain visible on the calendar? Currently, if a user goes back on the calendar using the “Previous” button in the top left, it shows no events.
