Expired vs Unauthorized Subscribers

Is it possible to direct a subscriber whose subscription expired to a different site rather than the one someone is directed to upgrade their subscription?

We have multiple subscription tiers for different categories of content. A user may try to access a different tier but need to upgrade their account. This should be handled differently from someone whose account expired and needs to resubscribe.
