Explanation for ChatGPT Context Options?

    I am having trouble getting the chat to work correctly, using it in shortcode mode –

    1. When I switch on Remember Conversation, It keeps repeating things like ‘Hello I am the AI assistant and I would like to assist you’ OR ‘You can call us at xxxxxxxxx number and xxxxxx email for further assistance’ even after 3 or more questions into the conversation, seemingly forgetting its earlier reponses
    2. When I switch off Remember Conversation, It keeps forgetting things and asks ‘Can you tell me your problem?” even after the visitor has explained the problem and ChatGPT has asked 4-5 questions about the problem.

    Content aware is On, use excerpt is On. Remember Conversation Up To is 10.

    1. How can I avoid ChatGPT repeating information or questions?
    2. Does Remember Conversation remember past conversations or exchanges in the current conversation?
    3. ‘Remember Conversation Up To’ applies to exchanges in the current conversation or to the last 10 conversations that took place with different visitors?
    4. Does the Save Log Chats affect this in any way?
    5. Is there a way to delete saved Chat Logs?

    Can you share your ai settings pls? like model, temp, fp and pp..

    1. Let me see your settings first pls. if you can share as much as screenshot of that would be great.
    2. If enabled then it saves conversation in browser cookies to remember until cookies are cleared.
    3. It applies to each user
    4. No.
    5. Not yet but will add.

    1. Please add a ‘Forget Conversation’ button for the website owner that will clear the cookies, so that we can test out different ideas.

    2. My settings are now these. They work much better but tend to forget some things at the end of longer conversations, like name of the visitor –

    Additional Context Yes

    3. Additional Context works very well for me to design the behavior of the chat, but when I enable “Use Embeddings” and “Embeddings and Completions”, it does not use Additional Context. I tried embedding Additional Context as entries but it does not work as well. Please make an option to use Additional Context with “Use Embeddings” and “Embeddings and Completions”.

    You should definitely not set fp and pp to 2. It is way too high. recommended is around 0.7-0.9 and pls use embeddings + completions
